Wool gathering event to debut

FINAL preparations are in hand for the first ever Eden Wool Gathering this weekend.

It will feature sheep shearing sessions, spinning, felting, weaving, knitting, fibre fashion, fleece preparation, textile art workshops and wool dyeing.

There will also be a screening of The Nettle Dress film and a sale of fleeces.

The aim of the new event is to promote and showcase wool, and wool related crafts.

And it’s taking place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am at the Whithorn Roundhouse, all proceeds go to the Stranraer Cancer Drop In Centre.
