Woodland views wanted
MOFFAT residents are being asked for their views to help secure the future of Moffat Community Woodlands (MCW).
The land at Gallow Hill was purchased by the community in 2016 and since then the MCW charity have acted as its caretakers.
Now the charity want to know what improvements they can make to draw people to the woodland on a regular basis and are asking residents to fill out a survey.
A group spokesperson said: “If you have visited the woods recently you will know that a bare, desolate hillside has been transformed into a delightful woodland, home to all sorts of plants and creatures, and enjoyed by many in the town.
“We now want to connect our woodlands more closely with our community, and are reaching out to hear the needs and wishes of the people of Moffat, and our many visitors. Please take a few minutes to tell us what you would like from your woodlands.
“You can give us your thoughts and suggestions below, and we will use the responses as the basis for a new community engagement plan.”
