A HEATHHALL nursery has won a top award for its indoor learning.

First Steps Nursery received the Scottish NMT Award for Nursery Indoor Learning Environment and were awarded with their prize at a glittering ceremony held in Glasgow last week.
In reaching their decision, the judges said: “First Steps is certainly a nursery with a difference.
“Imagine a curious child entering a cavern of wonder.
“Flowers in vases throughout, herbs and spices, smells and sensations stimulating not just the children, but staff and parents.
“This nursery is not like any other it is more like a home in a wonderland.
“No surprise they are the first accredited nursery in Scotland for the Curiosity Approach.”
Also, in the last few weeks the Care Inspectorate for Scotland carried out their inspection of the nursery and awarded the highest level for learning environment within the nursery.
An extension has recently been completed at the nursery and busy manager Chloe Cullen said: “The staff have been truly magnificent and the award is the icing on the cake for their hard work and endless energy in ensuring we provide the best possible learning environment for the children in our care.”
