Well done Archie!

LOCKERBIE schoolboy Archie Jarvis is celebrating winning an international poster competition.

He has been named as a grand prize winner in the design contest organised by the Remembrance Scholars at Syracuse.

The 13-year-old’s poignant drawing, entitled ‘Never Forgotten’, was one of four that received the most votes from the public.

Lockerbie Academy depute head Kerry Currie congratulated the S2 pupil and said: “What an achievement for Archie! His poster is fab, and he has his sights well and truly fixed on the scholarship in the future. It’s so nice to hear of pupils lower down the school looking ahead like this.”
