Video release for Dumfries band
Lucky Doves frontman Grant Dinwoodie

A DUMFRIES band has dropped a brand new music video.

The Lucky Doves played to an online audience of hundreds of thousands in January as part of the line-up for the virtual Big Burns Supper hosted by comedian Jane Godley.

Reeling from the exposure since, frontman Grant Dinwoodie and his bandmates have been prolifically songwriting, promoting and preparing for the eventual return of live music – once Covid-19 restrictions are finally lifted.

Shooting a music video for the outfit’s latest single, Never Run Back, has also been a focal point for the band, who describe their sound as “rich, story-driven songwriting”.

It was filmed at various locations in Dumfriesshire and released earlier this month through The Lucky Doves’ social media channels.

The video release comes amidst a campaign by the local folk ensemble to boost their profile and share new music far and wide; they recently had all their singles uploaded to major music streaming platforms, whilst merchandise such as t-shirts are due to go on sale soon.

And having secured a slot at Doonhame Festival in July alongside the likes of the Kaiser Chiefs and Toploader, The Lucky Doves are gearing up for a spectacular summer.
