Upper Nithsdale sees rise in Covid cases

COVID-19 testing has been stepped-up in communities in Upper Nithsdale following an increase in positive cases.

A mobile testing unit will be operational at Mill Hill Centre in Corserig Crescent, Kelloholm today (April 23) and again from next Monday to Wednesday.

Anyone living in Sanquhar, Kelloholm or the immediate surrounding area who is experiencing symptoms of COVID, or other mild illness such as diarrhoea, a runny nose or sore throat is urged to get a test.

Tests at the mobile unit are by prior appointment by visiting https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test.
