Turbines stop traffic

GIANT wind turbine parts stopped the traffic on the back roads of Annandale on Monday morning.

They were enroute to a windfarm development near Waterbeck and had a police escort due to their size.

One onlooker said: “I was parked up for five minutes while two turbines were brought through the village. They were enormous, I literally couldn’t believe the size of them.”
