Tractor efforts raise £2105

TRACTORS filled the roads of lower Annandale on Sunday – for a good cause.

A charity tractor run was held in aid of the North West Air Ambulance service.

It was organised by Peter Hornby, of L&P Motors, and was a 30-mile journey starting in Eastriggs. They then moved through Brydekirk and stopped at Powfoot for lunch, before passing through Annan and returning to Eastriggs.

After returning, a raffle was held with a variety of prizes to win, all donated by local businesses and organisations, including Trust Ford, NPA Car Parts, and I&P Motors.

Peter was delighted with the turnout and said: “The event went extremely well, and we received fantastic support from the tractor community.

“There were around 72 tractors that took part in the event and the weather held off for the duration of the day, which was good.

“Villagers from the places we visited during the run came out to support us, and we amassed £2105 for North Air Ambulance.

“We can’t thank everyone enough for our first run, and hopefully we will be able to do it again next year for another worthy charity.”
