TOOLS worth £700 have been stolen from a van in Lochmaben.

The theft happened sometime overnight Tuesday to Wednesday from a white Ford Transit van which was parked in St Margaret’s .

The stolen tools includes a flu gas analyser and a Bosch make drill.

Police are investigating and Constable Kyle Kirkpatrick at Lockerbie said: “I would ask anyone who may have been in or around the St Margaret’s area on Tuesday night or early on Wednesday morning to get in touch with us if they saw or heard anything suspicious.  Callers can contact us at Lockerbie Police Station on the 101 number, and should quote the reference number PDG 0256901119.  Anyone wishing to pass on information and remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
