Three schools in top 50

The results were published in The Sunday Times Money section at the weekend with Wallace Hall Academy at Thornhill placed 26th equal. Langholm Academy was listed as 31st, with Kirkcudbright Academy taking 45th place. A spokesman for Wallace Hall said: "We believe this to be a fantastic achievement for Wallace Hall and the other schools and for education in Dumfries and Galloway as a whole."
