Woman stole card and withdrew nearly £3k

A WOMAN faces sentencing next month after admitting she stole a bank card and used it to withdraw more than £2700 from cash machines.

Charlene Gilmour, of Municipal Terrace, Dumfries, pleaded guilty to stealing the card from an address in Balmoral Avenue, Dumfries, between April 12-21.

The 41-year-old also admitted a second charge of using the stolen card on various occasions between April 21 and May 2 at cash machines across the Dumfries area to withdraw a total of £2751.

Her pleas of not guilty to three other charges were accepted by the Crown.

Sentencing was deferred until August 12 for the compilation of a criminal justice social work report.
