Stay off the ice warning

CONCERNS were raised after a number of reports of youths playing on frozen ponds in Dumfries last week.

Groups of kids were spotted on a frozen pond in Summerpark during the freezing cold snap. This prompted locals to warn others not to do the same.

Meanwhile, two boys were spotted on a frozen pond at Beattock. The duo were seen quite far out at Beattock Caravan Park.
