INVESTIGATIONS are ongoing into a slurry pollution incident along the region’s coastline. Dumfries and Galloway Council have announced that the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is investigating a pollution incident at Dhoon Bay due to a slurry spill which began on Wednesday June 19.

A spokesperson said: “Due to the potential impact on water quality, SEPA’s bathing water signage at Dhoon Bay has been updated to advise against bathing. Please follow local guidance.”
