Sharks duo picked for GB

Under 20 head coach Tommy Watkins said: “This is a very strong squad for next month’s tournament.
“We have had a good build-up and some excellent camps, with a lot of on-ice and off-ice sessions.”
Included in the squad are Solway Sharks players Connor Henderson and Duncan Speirs.
The GB youngsters, who won a bronze medal in France last year, are taking part in the six-team tournament from 11th to 17th December 2016.
GB will take on hosts Hungary, as well as Slovenia, Poland, Italy and Ukraine.
Mr Watkins said: “This is a very strong squad for next month’s tournament.
“We know we have a tough five games at this level ahead of us next month, but the squad is ready for the challenge.”
The two Solway Shark players have been positioned as attack, and will be hoping their play style will offer an alternative option when pressing forward.
