Scottish rally returns

RALLY returns to Moffat this weekend for round five of the KNC Groundworks Scottish Rally Championship.

The event marks the 76th running of the rally – which is thought to be one of the longest-running motorsport events in the country – and will take in classic stages in the Castle O’er, Ae and Twiglees forest complexes during an action-packed day of flat-out competition on Saturday July 23. All the main championship protagonists will be in attendance and the RSAC Scottish Rally will be full of quality.

Topping the entry list, championship leader and record seven times Scottish winner David Bogie comes into his home rally on the back of a three-event winning streak.

With Irish co-driver John Rowan back alongside, Bogie will be making his Rally 2 debut in McGeechan’s new Fiesta.

Michael Binnie and Claire Mole line up behind the new Ford. The Evo crew are on an incredible run of form in 2022, finishing on the podium on every event so far this year.

They are joined in the M7 class by the returning Jock Armstrong and co-driver Cammy Fair.

Live music will celebrate the rally from 3 pm to 5 pm in Moffat town centre.
