THE MUCKLETOON Doctors Run and Junior Muckletoon Run are returning to Langholm this autumn following a two-year absence.

The race, which will be held on Sunday September 6, dates back nearly 40 years and is being organised by the Muckle Toon Joggers with support from Dumfries and Galloway Council’s active school and community sport team.
Originally held in May, the event has been moved to early September in a bid to avoid clashes with other local and national races.
The popular main race takes place over roads, tracks and terrain around the scenic town and covers a distance of eight miles, while the one-mile junior race is held around the boundary of the Castleholm field.
Organisers are already anticipating a large turnout for the event, which will include several categories for men, women, teams, youths and juniors.
Entry forms and further information is available online at www.dumgal.gov.uk/muckletoon or by e-mailing [email protected]
