Roof firm’s £40k charity pledge

FIVE Dumfriesshire charities will benefit from fundraising efforts at a Lochmaben factory throughout this year.

Russell Roof Tiles (RRT) has revealed the good causes which will benefit from its Give 4 Good project, in which staff are aiming to raise £40,000.

They are Veterans Garden Dumfries, D&G Canine Rescue, The First Base Agency, Lockerbie Wildlife Trust and Moffat Mountain Rescue Team – all of which have been nominated by the staff.

Employees have already started their charity work with a weight loss challenge underway and there are also plans for a summer skydive, among other events.

Andrew Hayward from Russell Roof Tiles said: “After such a successful year of fundraising in 2022, we wanted to continue to show our support this year. Our core value of supporting our local community, causes and charities is as important to our team and neighbours as it is to us.

“Since 2015 the team at Russell Roof Tiles has pulled together to fundraise for local charities close to their hearts and we pledge to do it again this year, with an ambitious £40,000 target.”
