Ready, steady, go for Easter stone hunt

A PAINTED stone Easter trail is being set up around Lockerbie for children to enjoy.

It is being put together by Dryfemount Care Home, with residents busy painting the stones which will be used.

They will then be hidden locally and it’s hoped many youngsters will take part during the Easter school holidays.

Any child finding five painted stones will receive a regular Easter egg; and the finder of one of the gold stones will win a bigger Easter egg.

Kirsty from Dryfemount said: “There are 30 normal painted stones, and five gold stones, so potentially 11 children can win an egg.

“All of our stones say Dryfemount on the back and are to be handed in to us on Monday April 21.

“We hope you have as much fun finding them as we will hiding them. Happy hunting!”
