A HUSTINGS event is taking place in the region later this month for NFU Scotland’s two presidential candidates.
Andrew Connon and Alasdair Macnab will be at the Market Inn Hotel in Castle Douglas on Thursday 16 January, from 7.30 pm, to meet local members and answer their questions.
Also in attendance, and preparing to be quizzed, will be the trio vying to be vice president: Michael Davis, Duncan Macalister and Robert Neill.
Voting for both positions will take place at the union’s AGM in Glasgow on February 7. The incumbents will hold the roles for two years.
