Plan ahead and celebrate Christmas in style

CHRISTMAS is only three months away, and there are already a plethora of options for friends and family to celebrate.

Dumfriesshire is filled with pubs, bars and hotels with festive events to attend during late November and December.

The Anglers in Annan is hosting several Christmas lunches across December, on December 9, December 12 and December 21 running from 12 noon to 2.30 pm for each event.

A deposit of £5 per person is required on booking, and two courses cost £17.50 while three cost £22. Call 01461 206588 or visit the bar to book a reservation.

Smith’s Hotel in Gretna is hosting their own swathe of festive events, with a Christmas Day lunch on December 25 and two Christmas parties on December 9 and December 17 respectively.

Smith’s festive lunch provides a delicious five-course dinner, a glass of fizz or juice on arrival and an exclusive Gretna Green gift all for £80 per adult and £40 per child.

The two parties will run from 7 pm to midnight and include live music from popular local band The Green, a cocktail on arrival and a 3-course festive dinner, all for £39.50 per person.

Hetland Hall Hotel in Dumfries are running Christmas party nights across six days in December.

From December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17 from 6.30 pm to 1 am, Hetland will provide shots on arrival, a three-course meal, festive props, a selfie mirror, life music from Destination Everywhere and a fantastic DJ for just £39.50 per person.
