Over 20,000 visit region's weather watch site

A LIVE website offering an overview of ongoing weather related incidents and road closures in Dumfries and Galloway has been viewed more than 20,000 times this weekend.

The site, operated by Dumfries and Galloway Police Division, made its debut this weekend to keep locals up-to-date with all manner of weather related issues.

As of 12 pm today the site ceased being updated as the major incident declared as a result of the weather began changing to a recovery phase.

The site can still be viewed at: http://www.dgpolicevost.com/live-incidents/ and Police are keen to receive feedback on the live blog.
