NO-GO SHOW . . . Moffat Show has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. For the second year in a row organisers have had to cancel the popular event, which normally takes place on the last Saturday in August. In a statement, chairman George Braid said: Ò'Due to the continuous uncertainties and enforced restrictions around mass gatherings, Moffat Show has, with much regret, been forced to cancel for this year. We looked at various options to try and create a safe environment on show day, however, ultimately we cannot be responsible for every individual's action on the day and believed we could not take any risk.Ó The organisers now look to 2022 with hope for a return to normal *** Local Caption *** NO-GO SHOW . . .
