MSP thanks region’s vaccinators

HUGE thanks have been expressed to the vaccination team working in Dumfries and Galloway.

South Scotland MSP Emma Harper, left, a former nurse who signed up to be part of the vaccination squad, said: “I want to thank all my colleagues who are doing a fabulous job in the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine. The rollout across Dumfries and Galloway is on track, with most people 50+ now having received both their doses of the vaccine.

“Because of this positive work in taking forward the vaccine rollout, people aged 30-39 are now being contacted for their first dose of the vaccine which is extremely welcome. People aged 18-29 are now able to go online and register for their first dose of the vaccine and I would like to encourage all to do so. Getting the vaccine is our best route back to normality and will help play our part in the fight against the virus.

“If you receive your appointment from the NHS, it is really important that you attend or get in touch to reschedule – and I thank everyone for doing this.

“If anyone has any concerns or are looking for any advice, help or support, then they can contact me at any time.”
