Moped crash appeal

POLICE are appealing for information following a collision involving a moped in Dumfries on Wednesday afternoon.

At around 12 noon, police were contacted after a man on a black, new condition moped bearing ‘L’ plates was seen crashing into a fence at Laghall Court before making off.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “After the collision another person who was believed to be a female got onto the moped before driving off.

“The male who was driving at the time of the collision and another unknown male then ran off.

“The male suspected to be driving at the time was described as wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a white t shirt.

“The female was described as wearing a helmet and a tan coloured jacket.”
