THE FOURTH Moffat Garden Trail will take place next month.

Organisers are inviting keen gardeners and those just interested to spend the afternoon with them enjoying private gardens in Moffat and supporting local charities.

Last year funds were raised for the Moffat Town Hall Trust and Marie Curie, and this year funds will again go to the Town Hall Trust and Moffat First Responders.

This year are core 18 gardens will be open and the Town Hall Trust will be hosting cream teas again.

Tina Fox, one of the trail’s organisers is also secretary for the new Moffat Art Collective.

Fellow organiser Rosemary Thomson said: “We are delighted to be able to launch our new group at this great annual event and hopefully help to increase the funds raised. “We were blessed with sun last year but I don’t think it would matter what the weather was: Gardeners are just keen to see a range of gardens and share tips.”

Gardens open from 12 pm to 5 pm on Sunday July 5. Tickets are available from Present Time, Moffat Bookshop and the Garden Centre.
