A MILITARY exercise will be taking place in Dumfries and Galloway later this month.

The Ministry of Defence will be conducting a low level exercise in the Galloway Forest Area between Friday February 21 until Sunday February 23.

This exercise will involve some vehicle activity in the following areas: Drumjohn, Roundfell and Shalloch, which will potentially lead to increased traffic on those roads.

There will be a 24 hour contact on standby if required by the general public, Tam Salter, who will be based at Forthview House in Rosyth and you can contact him on 01383648666 or mobile 07747791140.

Also there will be an out of hours contact: Low Flying Complaints: on 01780417558 and at lowflying@mod.gov.uk/cas-lowflying@mod.gov.uk
