Man charged after car thefts

A MAN was due to appear in court at Dumfries yesterday after a number of insecure vehicles in the Collin and Kelton areas were entered and items were stolen from within. It happened at the weekend, between March 7-9, and police say all of the stolen items were recovered. Officers also arrested a 27-year-old man, who was charged and held in custody. A police spokesperson said: "Don’t give thieves the opportunity. Keep your vehicle secure."
