Lodge park is best in Scotland

AN Annandale holiday park has won a top regional tourism award.

Westlands Country Park was crowned Best Lodge Escape destination in Scotland at a glittering gala awards evening hosted by UK staycation specialists Hoseasons.

The holiday park near Kirkpatrick Fleming received top scores in independent customer satisfaction surveys to be chosen as Scotland’s top lodge holiday destination, and the team travelled to Brighton to receive their award.

Westlands manager Natasha Carlyle, second left above, said: “This is amazing, we’re so happy to be recognised by holidaymakers and to have received an award based on the strength of customer satisfaction scores. We work hard to provide a great holiday experience whilst always looking to improve, especially at a time when staycations are becoming more popular. Our team is always appreciative of the support from our guests.”

This year saw the next phase of a £4.5 million investment programme at Westlands, which includes the development of luxury lodges and a new guest complex featuring a restaurant and bar, offices and corporate team-building facilities and a retail centre.

Chief portfolio officer at Hoseason’s parent company Awaze UK said: “It was an absolute pleasure to award the team at Westlands Country Park. “We all know the importance that positive reviews can have on bookings and it’s clear from the feedback they’ve been receiving that they’re doing a fantastic job of looking after customers. “They deserve all the plaudits that come their way and I wish them every success for many more years to come.”
