The invites arrived in the last few weeks.
But NHS Dumfries and Galloway on Tuesday said they had been sent in error.
A spokesman added: “Letters of apology and clarification have been going out directly to those who received them.”
It follows an issue with the appointment system last week, which led to some adults turning up at Canonbie for their vaccination on Sunday June 13 to find the centre closed.
Health officials said the village clinic wasn’t actually due to take place on that day and that they worked with the national appointing system to ensure the affected patients were rescheduled.
