Law firms announce merger

AN agreement has been reached to assimilate Annan solicitors Murray, Little and Knox into the firm of Cullen Kilshaw Solicitors

And it has been described as ‘exciting news’ for both companies and their clients, as it brings together two highly respected law firms with complementary areas of expertise.

Cullen Kilshaw is a well-established law firm with over 80 staff and 13 offices across the South of Scotland that specialises in a wide variety of legal areas, including residential and commercial property, estate planning, family law, and dispute resolution.

And Murray Little and Knox has been providing legal services to clients in Annan and the wider Dumfries and Galloway area for over 100 years, with a focus on conveyancing, family law, and private client work.

Of the merger, Norman Johnston and Frances Campbell, of Murray, Little and Knox said: “We are excited to be joining forces with Cullen Kilshaw and to be able to offer our clients an even wider range of legal services. This merger will secure the future of the firm, and will allow us to continue delivering a personal and professional service, while benefitting from the additional resources and expertise of the larger firm.

“We look forward to working with the team at Cullen Kilshaw to continue providing our clients with the highest quality legal services.”

Ross Kilshaw, from Cullen Kilshaw, added: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to join forces with such a highly respected local firm as Murray Little and Knox. This merger is a natural fit for us, and we are confident that it will benefit both firms.

“By combining our strengths, we will be able to offer an even more comprehensive range of legal services, while maintaining the personal touch and commitment to excellence that Murray Little and Knox’s clients have come to expect.”

The combined firm will have a large team, including 18 solicitors, available to assist clients with their legal needs.

The merger is expected to be completed on July 1.
