Knockout wedding for boxing champ

A WORLD champion boxer tied the knot at Kinmount House near Annan at the weekend.

Josh Taylor married Danielle Murphy in an outdoor ceremony at the stately home, in what he described on social media as ‘a perfect venue and perfect wedding’.

Among the guests at the lavish do were other boxing stars, including two times WBO European champion Conrad Cumming, Carl Frampton, a former two-weight world champion; and Commonwealth bantamweight Lee McGregor.

Josh himself is the unified light-welterweight world champion, having held the IBF and Ring magazine titles since 2019, and the WBC and WBO titles since 2021.

Sharing images of his wedding on his public Instagram page, the 31-year-old wrote: “The best weekend of my life. I married my beautiful best friend @daniellemurphy92_ Such an amazing weekend with beautiful people. Plenty of love, tears & laughter shared by all.”

Congratulating the newlyweds, the team at Kinmount said: “What a knock-out weekend at Kinmount House. We had the pleasure of welcoming boxing royalty this weekend as we hosted world champion boxer Josh Taylor and his long-term parter Danielle Murphy, as they tied the knot.

“Together with their amazing 175 friends and family, it really was a beautiful wedding and the most fabulous weekend of love, laughter, tears and joy. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Taylor.”

And they revealed how Josh even took time out to pose with younger members of staff, sign autographs and give a team talk.
