JEWELLERY and cash worth over £1000 was stolen from a house in Dumfries while the occupant was away.

The break-in happened at a property in Mosspark Avenue sometime between June 1 and last Wednesday, October 28.

The thieves took gold rings, a bracelet, a gold chain and a watch as well as a three figure quantity of cash in coins.
Constable Peter Meechan at Dumfries said: “This break-in took place while the occupant was away from home over this period.  We ask that anyone who can remember any suspicious activity over this period in the area get in touch with us through 101.”
