Hospital outbreaks

SEVEN positive cases of covid have been confirmed among patients at Annan Hospital.

As a result, the site has once again been closed to admissions and to all but essential visitors. Visiting is still permitted for end of life patients and patients with mental health issues including dementia, learning disabilities and autism.

Health bosses have warned that some services may be affected by the actions which are being undertaken, and anyone affected by that will be contacted directly.

Meanwhile, seven virus cases have also been found in patients on the Dalrymple Ward at the Galloway Community Hospital (GVH).

As such, the ward has been closed and visting is restricted.
