High value theft

A FIVE figure sum was stolen from a business in Dumfries sometime overnight.

Between 5pm on Thursday and 6am today, equipment worth a five figure sum of money was stolen from Browns Pressure Washers, Lochside Industrial Estate, Irongray Road, Dumfries.
Police say the equipment is bulky and the thieves would require to use a vehicle, possibly a van, to get away with the haul.
Constable Kelly Douglas, Dumfries Police Office, said: “We are currently checking CCTV and making enquiries with local businesses but would also wish to alert members of the public to the theft. If you are approached to buy this type of equipment and have any doubts where it comes from, then please contact police.
“If you have any information that will assist officers with their investigation, then please contact Dumfries Police Station via 101. Quote reference number 0429 of 15 November 2019 when calling. Details can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
