YOUNG farmers dug deep for a 24 hour tractor pull for charity.

And their efforts raised £770, so far, for the Farm Safety Foundation’s Yellow Wellies campaign.

The Lower Nithsdale team left SRUC Acrehead near Dumfries at 2 pm last Friday then pulled a David Brown 880 through Kelton, Glencaple, Caerlaverock, Shearington, Bankend, Ruthwell, Newfield, Twathats, Ruthwell Station, Clarencefield, and the Aiket.

Their challenge continued through the night, and they arrived back at Acrehead 24 hours later.

Donations are still being accepted on the gofundme page, under lnyfc.
