GREYHOUNDS: Ruth's Baby blasts the track

MOFFAT flyer Ruth's Baby maintained recent good form with an impressive 470 metres victory at Gretna greyhound racing on Friday night.

The three-year-old black dog, owned and trained by Davie and Ruth Crosbie of Wamphray, led from the opening bend of the final race.

He finished three lengths in front of another 2/1 shot, Archie Yule’s two-year-old Lanark-based bitch Granny.

Earlier in the evening there was a winning double for Michael Berwick’s West Cumbrian kennel with his entries Noisy Rascal and and Night Rascal, both taking the honours over the sprint distance.
