GREYHOUNDS: Annan's Old Lands surges to late victory

A LATE surge saw Annan fancy Old Lands storm to a sprint race victory on a fast-going track at Halcrow Greyhound Stadium, Gretna, on Friday night.

The three-year-old dog, owned and trained by Andrew Pratt, came through in the home straight to win the 8.15 trip by 1.25 lengths.
He was followed home by 3/1 shot Ringtone, trained by Dexter Clark at Kirkbride, which had got off to a promising start.
Two Scots dogs made the running in the final 470 metres race of the evening.
Davie Dunbar’s three-year-old Auchinleck dog Danny’s Dan achieved a runaway victory storming home five lengths ahead of Clydeside-based two-year-old Port Glasgow.
