The four-year-old dog from West Cumbrian owner-trainer Tony Hopper won by a length in what proved to be a three-dog race.

He was followed home by a fast-finishing Park Lane, a three-year-old bitch, owned and trained by Tom Clark of Workington.

The winning finalist received a £200 prize and Burnside Feeds Trophy with the runner-up £100 and the third placer £50.

Earlier, on the general card, local 2/1 shot Mollie won a nail-biting sprint race.

The two-year-old bitch, owned and trained by Keith Geddes of Dumfries finished a head in front of Hustle, a two-year-old dog from Willie Hyslop of Kilmarnock.
