Golf club thefts

EQUIPMENT worth £1000 has been stolen from a golf club in Dumfries.

A green roller and a green cargo box were taken from the greenskeepers’ shed at the Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club on Laurieston Avenue.

It happened overnight last Thursday to Friday and police are investigating.

Constable David Noble said: “These items are bulky and heavy and so more than one person would have been involved.  We would like to hear from anyone who may have been around the area of the golf club on Thursday or Friday to get in touch if they can help.

“We are also carrying out door to door enquiries and CCTV footage is being reviewed.”

Callers can get in touch through the 101 number, quoting the reference number PDG 0135770618.
