Mourners line streets for Mikey

THE funeral has today taken place of the young boy who died in a collision in Longtown earlier this month.

The town came to a silent standstill as the coffin of Mikey Wolfe, 10, was taken to Arthuret Church for a lunchtime service.

Crowds lined the streets and shops shut their doors to pay their respects to the ten-year-old who died following a collision with a tractor on A7 in the town centre on August 10.

And scores of mourners followed the hearse on its final journey.

Balloons were also released in an act of remembrance.
