Fund opens for arts ideas

A FUND has been launched for community arts projects in the region.

The Get Involved, Get Inspired fund run by DG Unlimited is now open for bids and the co-ordinators are appealing for anyone with a great idea for an arts event in their local community to get in touch.
They have £8000 available this year to support events and activities that offer greater opportunities for participation in high quality arts experiences for people who would not normally get involved.
Activities can be one-off events or a series of workshops and they can take place in any setting, as long participants “Get Involved and Get Inspired”.
David McDonald, arts development director with DG Unlimited, said: “We’re delighted to be launching new funds for the region. Offering small pots of money with a six-week turnaround, we hope to be able to assist projects that are happening now across Dumfries and Galloway”.
For more information, guidelines and the application form go to www.dgunlimited.com or email
[email protected] by midnight on Sunday February 12.
