Fond farewell to ‘outstanding’ director Jeff

A STALWART director of Bankfoot House in Moffat is to stand down after more than ten years service.

Jeff Brown’s decision was announced at the home’s board meeting last week, with fellow directors acknowledging their thanks and appreciation to him.

In a statement, they said: “Jeff’s contribution to the management and development of Bankfoot has been outstanding. His priority has always been to ensure that residents get the very best quality of care and he has led by example.

“There is no doubt that the ethos and practice at Bankfoot has been heavily influenced by Jeff’s empathy and compassion. He has also cared deeply about the staff team and his gentle presence and support has been valued more than he realises.

“On behalf of everyone at Bankfoot, the directors extend their gratitude and deep appreciation to Jeff for all that he has done.”

Although stepping down, Jeff will continue to support Bankfoot and be a regular visitor and residents will continue to enjoy music and singing with Jeff and friends.

Bankfoot is a charitable company, run by a board of volunteer directors. They are keen to hear from anyone who might be able to join the board and help maintain and develop this critically important resource. Anyone interested in finding out more should contact Lydia Burnett on 01683 220212.
