Five good causes to benefit from firm’s fundraising

FIVE good causes based in Dumfriesshire have been chosen to benefit from a firm’s year of fundraising.

Russell Roof Tiles at Lochmaben has announced the return of its charity Give4Good initiative, pledging to raise £50,000 this year.

Staff at the site have nominated the beneficiaries for the work they do.

They are D&G Canine Rescue Centre at Glencaple; Lockerbie Wildlife Trust; Veterans Garden Dumfries; Sports Driving Unlimited near Lockerbie; and Moffat Mountain Rescue Team.

In addition, the company will be supporting two international organisations: Odisha FC in India and the Footprints Family which works to support people in Kenya.

Andrew Hayward, managing director at Russell Roof Tiles, said: “When we first set up Give4Good, we wanted to create a long-lasting legacy that would financially support charities for many years to come. We’re now on our third year of running our Give4Good initiative and we’ve forged strong relationships with each of the charities and the incredible people who keep them running.

“It’s been eye-opening to hear their stories and heartwarming to know how much our support is appreciated. Together, we’re making a real difference.”
