“Why not come and meet the animals, view machinery, enjoy a tractor ride and see how the milk that you put in your cereal is produced?”
A milking demonstration takes place at 1 pm, and events also include a farm quiz, scavenger hunt and wellie throwing.
Guests are also invited to try some samples of dairy products that are produced by the farm’s milk.
Arla will be offering free food samples throughout the open farm day.
A spokesman said: “We are serving freshly cooked burgers on the barbecue.
“There will be a small charge involved for our barbecue and all funds raised will be donated to Motor Neurone Disease Scotland (MND).”
The event takes place this Sunday June 4 from 10 am to 3 pm at Ernespie Farm, Castle Douglas, DG7 3JG.
