MAGIC and merriment continue to delight audiences at Dumfries' Theatre Royal as the Guild of Players presents Hansel and Gretel. The festive, feel-good family show began its run on Friday, delighting audiences. Set in the kingdom of Muchen Luncheon within the Black Forest, times are hard after a poor harvest and the crown jewels are stolen. Can Bluebell, the Fairy of the Forest, manage to rescue Hansel and Gretel before they are eaten by Nightshade, the Wicked Witch of the Woods, who is determined to turn the tables this time and finally get her way? The show continues this week at the Theatre Royal, and check out this week's paper for more pictures. [caption id="attachment_55063" align="aligncenter" width="680"]
