FAI into farm death

A FATAL accident inquiry has been announced into the death last year of a farmer from the region.

Derek Roan, 71, above, was killed by his own cows at Barnbarroch Farm near Dalbeattie last June.

The inquiry (FAI) will examine the circumstances around his death, with the first hearing to be held at Dumfries Sheriff Court on March 10.
