Entries open for awards for young people

THE Young Scot Awards are back for 2025 and the organisers want to hear about exceptional youngsters from Dumfries and Galloway.

A ceremony will be held later this year in Glasgow when the most remarkable young winners will be revealed.

Nominations are now open, and Young Scot is calling on people in this region to highlight 11 to 26-year-olds who are making a difference locally.

It could be in areas such as the environment, their communities and Scotland’s sport and physical activity scene.

The 2023 winner, Molly Turnbull from Fife, said: “If you know a young person who deserves recognition, I encourage you to take a moment to fill in a quick form. It’s such an amazing feeling to have your efforts acknowledged and there are thousands of deserving young people out there – nominate them now!”

The nominations close on 30 March, fill in a form at young.scot/awards.
