The blue Vauxhall Corsa, registration SY08 TPU, was taken from Irongray Road sometime overnight Monday to Tuesday. It was found on Tuesday night in Jocks Loaning in the town.
Police are keen to trace two men seen in the area. The first is described as slim build and was wearing a two tone hooded top and light coloured trousers. The second was taller and of skinny build and he was wearing a light coloured top and slim fit style jogging bottoms and trainers.
PC Richard Davidson said: “In the early hours of Tuesday two men were seen at the car in Irongray Road.
“We want to hear from anyone who may have been about Irongray Road in the early hours of Tuesday, or who may have seen the car at any time to get in touch through 101.”
Duo sought after car stolen
A CAR stolen from Dumfries overnight on Monday was found burnt out the next day.
