Dumfries to host MND research event
DUMFRIES has been selected as a location to host an interactive and educational event raising awareness about MND research.
The Lived Experience and Researcher Network (LEARN) event aims to bring people affected by MND together with local researchers.
The event is returning to Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Dingwall, and Dundee, with an additional date in Dumfries.
Discussions and questions about research is encouraged, as those working in the field are also keen to hear from people with lived-experience.
The Dumfries event will take place on Tuesday September 29 from 1-4 pm.
Since launching in 2024, LEARN events have supported more than 270 people affected by MND, and researchers bringing their knowledge to the discussions.
There are around 480 people in Scotland currently living with MND.
