Members of Dumfries and Galloway Council were due to meet on Monday afternoon to hear a progress report concerning DG One in Hoods Loaning, Dumfries.
The £17.2 million sports and leisure facility, which opened in May 2008, has been shut since last October to allow remedial works to be conducted.
And the council, who stated earlier this year that repair works were expected to take approximately 18 months to complete, were due to provide an update to members next week—but this has now been postponed until next month when further information should be available.
A council spokesman said: “It was intended that a meeting of Dumfries and Galloway Council on Monday would consider a report on DG One.
“However, representatives of the council and Keir Construction are currently involved in a mediation process.”
He added: “The meeting has therefore been postponed until November when there will be more information to report to elected members.
“Under the terms of the mediation agreement, it is not open to the council or Keir to make any further comment at this time.”
Alternative leisure facilities are being provided at Loreburn Hall and the temporary pool at Dumfries Ice Bowl throughout the closure.
